As you enter the farm, you’re greeted by the soothing sounds of chirping birds, clucking chickens, oinking pigs and gentle breezes rustling through the trees – not to mention the calls of the gregarious peacocks which roam free range throughout the park and farm!

One of the highlights of visiting the Children’s Farm is the opportunity to interact with a variety of friendly farm animals. As mentioned, dogs are also welcomed within the farm and petting zoo, so long as they remain on leash, don’t bark at the animals, or enter into the goat pen. There’s fresh water provided via a bowl at the entrance gate, and the staff are warm and welcoming to your furred family.
Plan Your Visit
Located just a short distance from the Oswego Hotel, the Beacon Hill Children’s Farm is easily accessible and makes for an ideal day trip or afternoon excursion. The farm is open during the Spring and Summer months from 10 am – 5 pm, with the legendary Goat Stampede happening twice daily at 10:10 am and 5:10 pm (which is just past closing hours, but guests are invited to stay to watch the goats stampede back to their barn for the evening). Entry is by donation, with recommended amounts posted right near the gate so there’s no difficulty at the admission gate.
