Visit the Esquimalt Farmers Market this Summer 2024!
Summer is in full swing, and that means that Vancouver Island farmers’ markets are at their best. While there are a few pop-up markets throughout the Summer, one of our favourites has to be the Esquimalt Farmers’ Market!
The Esquimalt Farmers’ Market is definitely worth a visit this Summer!
Wherever you visit the market, you’ll find fresh vegetables, preserves, handmade jewelry, Indigenous art, and all kinds of artisan goods. Our guides strongly recommend a stop at the Pickle and Ponder booth, where the homemade pickled goods promise to delight!
Enjoy the freshest local organic produce that Southern Vancouver Island has to offer!
Not only are there artisan goods & food, but there is often live music, food trucks, and entertainment for the whole family – and yes, animals are welcome!
Greek on the Street – a food truck that frequents the Memorial Park location – offers delectable fresh and authentic Greek food, from one of Victoria’s most trusted caterers: Estia Catering.
The food trucks vary, but they’re all delicious and offer a local sampling of some of Vancouver Island’s best foods.
The Esquimalt Farmers Market: Summer 2024 Hours
As one of Victoria’s most diverse farmers’ markets, the EFM is open throughout the Summer in two different locations:
Thursdays – Esquimalt’s Memorial Park
- April 4th to September 12th, 4:30 – 7:30 pm
- September 19th & 26th, 4:30 – 7:00 pm
On Thursdays, the market is located within the beautiful, shady Memorial Park, in the heart of Esquimalt.
Mondays – Gorge Park
- June 17th to September 16th, 4:30 – 7:30 pm

If you don’t find yourself in Victoria until later in the year, the Esquimalt Farmers Market also runs from October to December at the Esquimalt Recreation Centre, and includes an annual holiday market that’s not to be missed:
Thursdays – Esquimalt Recreation
- October 3rd to December 19th, 4:30 – 7:00 pm
- Annual Holiday Market: Sunday, November 24th, 11 am – 5 pm

Be sure to arrive early before vendors sell out!
We highly recommend a stop by the EFM if you have the time. Many of our guests mention how much they love bringing back fresh produce and ingredients to whip up a beautiful meal in our ensuite full kitchenettes.
